In early 1998 Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks introduced a wonderful movie about the world to online romance in the movie known as “You’ve got Mail” which was one of its kind movie, and became one of the best movie in that season. Around eight years later, according to Online Facts and Stats, 2007, it is estimated that more than 20 million people visit online dating sites each month looking for a true partner who they can share their feeling and love. Online Facts and Stats, 2007. Do we all believe online dating work or is it a romantic waste of time? The answer of this question it depends who you ask, and their perception about this manner. To me it is obvious that most of the single people often lack confidence in seeking romantic social networking and are limited to finding locations to meet other single people. Nowadays, many single people work full time, have children, and don’t have the time to network for romance. Matchmaking websites allow people from around the world to communicate in virtual settings to get to know the person before actually meeting them, and make sure that they do not get into trouble. Also, online dating allows people to date anonymously to people outside of their demographics in a safe environment without being prejudged by appearances. Many matchmaking websites require people to fill out questionnaires that scientifically match them with people who have similar values, core traits, and relationship skills (Scientific Matching, 2008). These questionnaires are essentially a “romantic resume” that is sent to prospective matches that are compatable with their personality. According to Online Dating Magazine, more than 120,000 marriages resulted from online dating. Online Facts and Stats, 2007. On the other hand, online dating can deceptive. Often, people lie about themselves, creating a fictitious life for a virtual fantasy. There is no way of providing background checks for the true identity of every person seeking romance. For instance, you could be talking with an online predator that claims to be an entrepreneur in real estate, but is actually looking to swindle a person out of financial resources. Other deceptive profiles might include embellished salaries, education, and physical appearance. For example, often older people post their photo in younger age. Nevertheless, as people become more experienced with internet dating, they are taking extra steps to avoid being a victim in this taught environment. It is clear that today’s technology particularly the Internet has allowed people to avoid the stereotypes of physical attraction and find the perfect person that fits their personality. There is no doubt that true romance will triumph after looks lighten and our bodies’ age, so the key to romance is matching personality. Finally, online dating is the ultimate blind date, but we can make perfect romance, if everyone stops two-faced characteristics, and truthful and being honest.

I choose Crime Scene Investigators, because it is one of the most watched shows in U.S in recent years. There is no doubt that CSI, has become very popular. Also, this show has grown from one show to many different shows. For example, CSI Miami, CSI New York and NCIS covering the military. I strongly believe many people are about obsession with death and the popularity of these shows, and that is why these shows are very popular but is it death that makes these shows so popular or is it the investigation that does it? Maybe both as the show can appeal too many depending on what you like. Some of the episodes are bizarre, and not appealing to me, I do not others. Sometimes the medical examiners do some unethical or can cause more violence because of the medical examiners‘s actions. Also, it seems to me that some of the information that shown during the these shows can be very instructive, and useful those who want use in negative ways such as ways to cover up a crime they might commit such as wiping down weapons to remove fingerprints, using bleach to cover up blood spills, and so on. I have doubt that CSI investigators are some of the most individuals in this industries, they prove that they produce/ design some of the most watched shows by using their God giving talents and skills. However, it is possible that they are sending informative information to those who want use this information in wrong way. In addition, CSI investigators act as their profession more important than their families, and that is a negative signal because it could cause many families problems. For instance, investigators hug around one another, and of course romantic relationship. Also, some people may see this manner as social destruction because if a society lost their family value that could mean that society is in crisis. Finally, although I do not agree everything in these shows, I believe these are wonderful shows, and many people watch every episode. Many people cannot stop watching these shows, and I am one those people who cannot stop watching these shows.
