There is no doubt that that there are many interesting popular culture articles, but one popular culture article that I came across recently is IPhone and IPod. Ipod is one of the amazing products in recently which shaped much of the entertainment and communication tools. When ipod came to market it was like cultural clashes, because it overwhelmed the market, and it became a popular culture. However, when iphone came it overwhelmed the market, and putting together these two products became a new popular culture. Although, these items deal different market and different purposes, they are popular cultures. It is clear that these items are popular culture and have shaped the lives of many people. People use IPhone and IPod for many different reasons, and each of these items has pros and cons. There is no doubt that both these items are great items, and they would have being better if the manufactures market them in a better way. Example IPhone, since its release, the iPhone has succeeded in attracting a big share of the cell phone market. In fact, many cell phone manufactures failed to offer a competing product with similar features to that offered by the iPhone. The iPhone has lots of great futures such as text messaging, or SMS, and easy use a touch sensitive keyboard that uses predictive technology to anticipate the word you are tying as well as correcting mistakes. Certainly, everything in the new iPhone can be manipulated with the touch of a finger or two. According to Kinsman technology analyst. said “ the iphone has probably been a bigger success than Apple would ever admit” It is seems to me that what makes the iPhone screen something special is the fact that it has a 3.5 inch multi-touch screen with 160 pixels per inch resolution. It has a multi-touch navigation. Instead of punching numbers on the phone, you dial by pointing to a name in the address book. There is a neat looking function called visual voice mail that lets you see the list of all your messages and choose which ones you want to listen to. The iPhone also has a built in 2-megapixel camera for taking photos and sending them family or friends. The iPhone is the tight integration with the web. So far some of the iphone’s greatest hits are very popular both business and personal entertainments. Also, iPhone has some outstanding paid applications such as PDF reader, Speadsheet, password and data security, folders recorder and dictation.
Regardless of the technological advances that the iPhone offers, Apple received lots of criticism and angry reaction towards the release of the iPhone, because the way Apple uses its marketing when it released iPhone. There were a lot of reaction that most related to the marketing of the iPhone. For instance, when Apple signed an agreement with AT&T to offer the iPhone exclusively for their customers. Some people see that as red flag by believing that was unfair companies since it gave AT&T a huge advantage over its competitors in the free telecommunication market. In my opinion iPhone is great product, but it could have been better if the management market it differently. However, it is still an outstanding product, and no one can deny its benefits.
Finally, both Ipod and Iphone are wonderful products, so if you have not had a chance to own one or both these products, it is the time to take a look, and try to have one of them or both.

In early 1998 Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks introduced a wonderful movie about the world to online romance in the movie known as “You’ve got Mail” which was one of its kind movie, and became one of the best movie in that season. Around eight years later, according to Online Facts and Stats, 2007, it is estimated that more than 20 million people visit online dating sites each month looking for a true partner who they can share their feeling and love. Online Facts and Stats, 2007. Do we all believe online dating work or is it a romantic waste of time? The answer of this question it depends who you ask, and their perception about this manner. To me it is obvious that most of the single people often lack confidence in seeking romantic social networking and are limited to finding locations to meet other single people. Nowadays, many single people work full time, have children, and don’t have the time to network for romance. Matchmaking websites allow people from around the world to communicate in virtual settings to get to know the person before actually meeting them, and make sure that they do not get into trouble. Also, online dating allows people to date anonymously to people outside of their demographics in a safe environment without being prejudged by appearances. Many matchmaking websites require people to fill out questionnaires that scientifically match them with people who have similar values, core traits, and relationship skills (Scientific Matching, 2008). These questionnaires are essentially a “romantic resume” that is sent to prospective matches that are compatable with their personality. According to Online Dating Magazine, more than 120,000 marriages resulted from online dating. Online Facts and Stats, 2007. On the other hand, online dating can deceptive. Often, people lie about themselves, creating a fictitious life for a virtual fantasy. There is no way of providing background checks for the true identity of every person seeking romance. For instance, you could be talking with an online predator that claims to be an entrepreneur in real estate, but is actually looking to swindle a person out of financial resources. Other deceptive profiles might include embellished salaries, education, and physical appearance. For example, often older people post their photo in younger age. Nevertheless, as people become more experienced with internet dating, they are taking extra steps to avoid being a victim in this taught environment. It is clear that today’s technology particularly the Internet has allowed people to avoid the stereotypes of physical attraction and find the perfect person that fits their personality. There is no doubt that true romance will triumph after looks lighten and our bodies’ age, so the key to romance is matching personality. Finally, online dating is the ultimate blind date, but we can make perfect romance, if everyone stops two-faced characteristics, and truthful and being honest.

I choose Crime Scene Investigators, because it is one of the most watched shows in U.S in recent years. There is no doubt that CSI, has become very popular. Also, this show has grown from one show to many different shows. For example, CSI Miami, CSI New York and NCIS covering the military. I strongly believe many people are about obsession with death and the popularity of these shows, and that is why these shows are very popular but is it death that makes these shows so popular or is it the investigation that does it? Maybe both as the show can appeal too many depending on what you like. Some of the episodes are bizarre, and not appealing to me, I do not others. Sometimes the medical examiners do some unethical or can cause more violence because of the medical examiners‘s actions. Also, it seems to me that some of the information that shown during the these shows can be very instructive, and useful those who want use in negative ways such as ways to cover up a crime they might commit such as wiping down weapons to remove fingerprints, using bleach to cover up blood spills, and so on. I have doubt that CSI investigators are some of the most individuals in this industries, they prove that they produce/ design some of the most watched shows by using their God giving talents and skills. However, it is possible that they are sending informative information to those who want use this information in wrong way. In addition, CSI investigators act as their profession more important than their families, and that is a negative signal because it could cause many families problems. For instance, investigators hug around one another, and of course romantic relationship. Also, some people may see this manner as social destruction because if a society lost their family value that could mean that society is in crisis. Finally, although I do not agree everything in these shows, I believe these are wonderful shows, and many people watch every episode. Many people cannot stop watching these shows, and I am one those people who cannot stop watching these shows.

One interesting current popular culture topic that I find is face book, because face book has became one of the most popular websites when it comes to popular culture. There is no doubt that face book is one of the most successful website at this time according to its users (viewers) and how old it is. I believe this has a lot to do in our culture, and that is why I believe face book is a perfect example of current culture. It seems to me that face book has advantage and disadvantage. Of course, it depends how someone sees it, and it has a lot to do with person’s age, education, and so on. For instance, most of the college students know face book proportionally, even if they do not use it, but 90 years old G/mother may not use face book because face book is social networks. It is obvious that people use different social networks because of their age, level of education, and many other aspects, and face book is a new free social network. According to Zuckerburg this website is free social network where many people communicate with their close friends and new friends. This website has a wonderful design, and users can easily communicate with families and friends because this website has many features which make easy its users to use many different ways.
Another useful way of using this website is meeting new friends. However, using this website has its own risk because there are many predators who are online 24/7 thorough face book, and if users do not watch out their steps, they can be trouble, and end up meeting strangers. Those who know or watched MSNBC program known Predictors with Chris Hansen, probably know it very difficult to protect yourself from this people or these predictors.
There is no doubt that if users use face book appropriately, it is wonderful tool of communication and you can keep in touch with many of your friends and families.

I strongly believe that The Super Bowl is one of the most popular sport events in American history. Over the years The Super Bowl has become the most-watched U.S. television broadcast of the year. There is no doubt that it is very popular among various groups of people. Some people use it for social event and they get together. During the halftime most famous performers entertain the audiences. Also, many companies compete to advertise their products or service. Some companies can’t afford to advertise their products or services during this time because it is the most popular time slot for commercials to be aired. The Super bowl is no longer just a game between two teams; it has become a program where to some people the commercials and performers are more important than the game itself. For instance, I came to United States of American in early 90’s, and I did not know any about Super Bowl. During Super Bowl few weeks ago everyone was talking about it, and that shows how popular Super Bowl is now. Also, it was obvious that something interesting was going on that night.
Now, The Super Bowl is more than game for me, and it became part of my culture.

Febuary12, 2009
The three icons that I chose are Muhammad Ali, Bill Cosby, and Magic Johnson. There is no doubt that these individuals mean a lot to me in many different ways. Each and every of these men accomplished great success during their career. Muhammad Ali is my icon because he became the most respect world heavy weight champion. He was only 18 years old when he won first fight against Tunney Hunsaker. He defeated his opponents easily by knocking them down in early rounds and he became undefeated champion. Also, became a role model for many great boxers from many different parts of the world.
Muhammad Ali is the only “boxer amassed a recorded of 19-0, with 15 knockouts”. Muhammad Ali is a hero for many people including myself. When he was told to go to the U.S Army he refused to do so because he believed, it was unnecessary war. When I was young Muhammad Ali was my role model in many different ways. Also, Bill Cosby is my Hero because he worked hard in order to achieve his goals. For instance, he left school when he was grade10, but he continued his high school education through correspondence. Also, Bill Cosby continued his education, and he received his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts in early 1970’s. Also, he won many awards when my people with his color could not because his talent was undeniable in many different ways. I was out of school for while before I go back to college, so I compare myself to Bill Cosby. In addition, when it comes to advocating his community Bill never hesitate to say what he thinks is the right thing. For instance, sometimes Bill was not happy with way minorities were portrayed including people with his color. Later on Bill produced his own television series, and some of those were popular shows. Now, Bill contributes many different charities including education institutions that support minorities. My
other hero is Magic Johnson because was a great player, and top in his career. Magic used perform well even when was not feeling well. He refused to back down his critics, and continued what he thought was the right thing to do regardless what other thought. I believe I have a lot in common with Magic Johnson. For example, in 1991 Magic Johnson was diagnosed with HIV, and he decided to tell the public that this is disease can that affect everyone. Magic Johnson mean a lot to me because he was the first person that I have ever heard saying that he is “HIV positive”. There is no doubt that he deserves a lot credit because his announcement to public was useful and positive in many different ways. Also, Magic Johnson established non profits organizations that help inner-city communities and those who need help to get HIV/AIDS medications.
I strongly believe these three individuals a lot have in common. They were all successful individuals, and they continue supporting people who need their including their communities. All these three men mean a lot for a lot of people including to me. It seems to me that these individuals are Icons for many people and they will forever.

Popular culture is a culture of people or society. Also, we can define culture system that contains many different things such as behavior patterns, beliefs, and customs. Also, popular cultures can be anything which ranges new technologies, politic, and so on. For instance, last election (America Election) Barack Obama took the advantage of the new technologies and defeated his opponent by using all available technologies. Now, it seems to me that Barack Obama’s campaign became popular culture in American politics. There is no doubt that popular culture has a big influence on daily lives of many people including myself. I strongly believe that new technology has a lot of influence on a lot of people particularly younger ages. Whenever I watch a new movie, I feel like that I need to watch that movie again, and I think many other people do too, this is how entertainment industry has a big influence on many people , and I am one of those people. As far I know all businesses need public attention whether they are services sector or sell products (services or manufacture) because if they do not get the attention that they need it is going to be very difficulty for them to sell their products or services. Therefore, it is not only important but, it is necessary for them to get the public attention. The popular culture artifact that I chose is technology. First, technology has a lot of influence on people and shapes the culture. Also, technology is growing-fast, and some people will do (buying) what it takes to them regardless the features and the price. For accordingly to national news I phone came first many people were on line over four hours to buy I phone around $500, few months later less price and better features. I believe some of the today’s technologies are popular culture. For instances, cell phones or mobile phones are popular cultures in many different countries in the world. For instance, if you are in China or United States of American or any other country in the world cell phones are becoming a popular culture because they fit all criteria and definitions of popular culture. Therefore, it is popular culture, and my prediction the near future millions of people will use cell phones.
